During our conversation Trish told me about one of her high school teachers…

They called him Maxwell, Mr Maxwell…

Mr Maxwell had a number of hobbies and interests outside of teaching…

One of those hobbies was to grow roses…

At his home he was utilising his whole back yard to grow roses and it looked absolutely wonderful…

The sight of the roses all lined up was magnificent the strong scent could be smelt from the front gate as you enter his yard, while the texture of the petals in the palm of your hand was so soft and felt like velvet, it was amazing…

Trish and a few other students visited Mr Maxwell at his home one afternoon on the way home from school…

As they were all enjoying the lovely bed of roses, Trish asked Mr Maxwell a question…

Why do you put so much effort and attention into growing and looking after your roses?

Mr Maxwell sat the students down and shared with them this…

I have a dream to have my own Gelato (ice cream) Business one day…

If I can learn how to nurture, develop and grow my roses then what I learn I can apply to growing and developing my Gelato business…

Trish then went on to tell me, how Mr. Maxwell did build a very successful Gelato business and retired a very wealthy man…

I really loved this story from Trish as it stimulated my mind got me thinking…
