Effective Communication…

How to Maintain Influence in a Changing Conversation…

Alex has a new manager who has just taken over the logistics department…

Alex is a little concerned as the new Manager appears to wear different masks at different times when dealing with different people…

What that means is the Behavior of the Manager changes depending on who he is speaking too…

It can even change a number of times during the same conversation…

Have you ever experienced that before at your work place?…

Alex feels uncomfortable coping with the Behavior change of his boss…

What’s the solution, what can Alex do to be able to cope with this situation?…

2 things come to mind…

⁃ The person with the most flexibility of Behavior controls the situation…

⁃ Match & Mirror whoever is in front of you…

The more flexible we can be in dealing with different types and styles of Behavior (there is a lot) the more options we have in feeling more comfortable and achieving our outcomes whether in business or our personal life…

How can we do that?…

We can do that by matching & Mirroring the Behavior of the person in front of us like they were looking into a mirror…

We match their…

⁃ Posture…

⁃ Gestures…

⁃ Voice, tonality…

⁃ Energy…

⁃ Physical body…

When we learn to do this and keep the connection with the other person it allows both parties to feel good and create a win / win to achieve our outcome…

When I’m talking with a louder more expressive person I need to raise my energy and become more like them while they are in front of me…

When taking with someone who is more quiet, softly spoken, I will adjust my behavior to be more of a match to them…

People like people, who are like themselves…

The greatest influences in the world use these techniques daily to create win / win outcomes…

This is one of the subjects we teach in our workshops and it’s lots of fun practicing it in the safe environment of the workshop…

Our communication is paramount and equal to the results we achieve on a daily basis…

Here’s the deal…

Be more flexible in your Behavior, match the person in front of you and have some fun with it…

You will feel more empowered and your results will definitely skyrocket…
