Corporate Success; Just Promoted.
John is a computer technician, computer programmer, a real computer nerd. He loves his job and is a master at writing code and understanding all the finer details to do with anything in the backend of a computer.
He has been working for the same company for over 10 years and is enjoying corporate success with his outstanding results, wage increases, and everyone really likes him. He spends his whole day diving into detail, solving technical problems, and coming up with solutions.
His day just flies by, from morning to evening, sitting in the same chair for almost 8–10 hours a day. John is in the zone of his competence and is loving it. He is the master of his domain.
Board of Directors
The board of Directors, where John works, have known of his outstanding performance for some time now. An opportunity has surfaced for someone to be the manager of the IT department in which john works.
Because of John’s exceptional skills in IT, it was a no-brainer for the Board of Directors to offer him the position of IT Manager, responsible for 30 IT programmers and technicians.
