Christmas Greetings from a Stranger

I was speaking with a friend yesterday and he was telling me about a lovely experience he encountered on Friday night…

Nick was heading home from a night out around 9–30pm and the streets were rather busy with locals enjoying the festive season…

Nick pulled up at the lights with all the other motor bikes waiting for a green light…

Then, all of a sudden Nick feels a hand tap him 3 times on his left shoulder…

Nick got a little startled and turned around to see who was tapping him on the shoulder…

A Vietnamese man around 60 years old was reaching across the front of his motor bike with arm out stretched offering to shake Nick’s hand and said “Merry Christmas”…

Nick was totally shocked and surprised and quickly shook the mans hand and returned the greeting…

Listen up…

That was a lovely experience and shows the true wonder of our human spirit…

Vietnamese don’t normally celebrate Christmas YET in the middle of the traffic this man made a big effort to get Nicks attention and pass on the season greetings…

Understand this…

The more faith we have in people and focus on their positive attributes the more we will see and enjoy in them…

Our happy state during this festive season creates the environment in us to be our best selves…
